Our mission
Replica watch information is fragmented. The forums hold the community's collective knowledge but require hours of reading to extract decisions. Reddit is faster but noisier. Dealer messaging channels are useful, but each only knows their own inventory. RWI Watches Guide consolidates the noise into structured, citation-ready buyer guides — independent of any factory or dealer payment, updated on a quarterly cycle.
Our goal is not to replace the forum. It is to give a buyer the structured starting point the forum doesn't provide: comparison tables, vetted dealer lists with reasons, factory specialty maps, and step-by-step buying guides.

Independent watch industry analyst focused on the Chinese replica manufacturing ecosystem. Writes about factory quality, movement engineering, and buyer education. I started in this niche in late 2017 buying my first Submariner from an early-period Noob production run; eight years later, I've placed orders with most of the dealers on the major TD lists, owned watches from each of the five major factories, and watched the cloned-movement era replace the NH35 era as the niche default.

Editorial standards
Every dealer on the Trusted Dealers list has cleared a five-criterion review across two community sources, with quarterly re-verification. Every factory page is grounded in primary sources: forum threads, watchmaker interviews, and direct movement inspection where possible. Every guide is hand-written, cited, and reviewed monthly with version-stamped updates.
How we choose factories to cover
We cover factories that meet two thresholds: (1) consistent production over at least 24 months, and (2) recognition by at least two of the three major communities (RWI, RepTime, RepGeek).
How we vet dealers
Five criteria: response time, quality consistency over the preceding six months, payment options (crypto required), dispute resolution history on community forums, and community sentiment. Quarterly re-verification.
