3KF vs PPF for the Nautilus used to have a simple answer: 3KF had the 324 clone movement, and PPF had the better dial on a Miyota base. In 2026 that rule no longer holds. PPF now sells a 5711 with an SH330 movement, which a top commenter called "an actual clone movement" in October 2026, and the May 2026 update of the r/RepTime "Who Makes the Best" guide ranks a third factory, DDF, first for the 5711, with BBF second and 3KF third. For the 5811, the guide ranks DDF Heavy first and 3KF second, but one owner found the 3KF case closer to the genuine size.

What the "330" label can mean

Patek Philippe uses the calibre 26-330 S C, with stop-seconds, in the current Nautilus. On a replica listing, "330" can mean:

  1. A decorated Miyota base, as in older PPF Nautilus models.
  2. A 324-type clone marked "330", as in the earlier DDF "DD330" and the 3KF "330" versions. The May 2026 guide calls them "cosmetic only, really just the 324".
  3. A newer 330-type clone, such as the PPF SH330. In July 2026 a top commenter wrote that only the SH330 and BBF's new DPB330 have stop seconds, and that the DPB330 is built on a 324 base. No full owner comparison exists yet.

A hacking second hand alone proves nothing: owners report that the older Miyota-based PPF hacks too.

3KF vs PPF on the 5711, part by part

Case thickness and shape. A March 2026 comparison reported about 8.35 mm for the DDF 5711, "very close to gen territory", and called 3KF "thin enough to be a very useful mod base". In 2025 owner comparisons, 3KF had a slightly wide bezel and rounded lugs, and DDF had the best "bird beak" side profile.

Dial color and embossing. One owner compared genuine, DDF, 3KF and SW dials and found the stock 3KF color clearly off. In a separate comparison, the same reviewer found the PPF dial clearly better than the 3KF dial. A March 2026 comparison also called 3KF too blue. DDF came closer in tone but looked more matte. Match the embossing to the era: a 2025 owner saw four wider bars below the hands on a BBF dial and five narrower bars on a DDF dial.

Bracelet. A March 2026 comparison rated the 3KF bracelet acceptable, the PPF bracelet decent and the DDF bracelet comfortable and solid. Another owner traced loose or tight bracelet feel to the lug-hole size, not to the bracelet itself.

Caseback and movement. 3KF prints its movement text; owners prefer engraved text. The older PPF has a thicker back, a high crown position and a rotor that almost touches the caseback. On earlier BBF and DDF "330" editions, the decorative jewel at the rotor center could come loose.

3KF vs PPF on the 5811

Patek Philippe specifies the 5811/1G at 41 mm, with a white gold case and a blue sunburst dial with a black gradient edge.

  • 3KF enlarged its 5811 case. In one November 2025 owner comparison it measured about 1 mm larger than the DDF, and its dial was too bright.
  • PPF: we found no owner comparison of a PPF 5811.
  • DDF won the dial comparison for depth and detail, and is about 20 g heavier, with tungsten in the caseback, case and bezel, but its reviewed case was too small.

How to choose

  • 5711: start with DDF. Compare it with 3KF if you want the 324 clone movement, or with the PPF SH330 if you want the newest movement.
  • 5711, older dial style: BBF has supporters for its four-bar embossing.
  • 5811: DDF Heavy for the dial and the guide rank, or 3KF for the case size; compare both in QC photos.
  • Any version: ask for a movement photo and the dial embossing in your QC photos.
