Super clone vs AAA is a comparison of two seller labels, not two grades. Neither word has a standard behind it. The community resources that buyers use, the r/RepTime "Who Makes the Best" guide and reptime.help, do not grade watches with these words. They name the factory and the movement, and they rank factories model by model.
The labels side by side

What the community uses instead
The r/RepTime guide names the best, second and third factory for each model, with the movement, and gives two marks: NWBIG ("Best of the best") and Super Rep ("Good but not entirely perfect"). reptime.help describes three broad tiers:

"1:1" and "Best Edition" on listings
Dealer listings often stack labels. In September 2026 a buyer posted QC photos of a watch listed as "904L Steel VSF 1:1 Best Edition VS3235". The useful parts of that name are the factory (VSF) and the movement (VS3235). The words "1:1" and "Best Edition" are sales words. The reptime.help glossary is clear that "All reps have tells".
The 904L claim
Many listings say "904L". Treat it as a claim:
- In 2025 ARF published an apology about the material of certain GMT straps (bracelets). A member wrote that "the 304 stuff was a bad batch" and that ARF's tests of recent batches showed 904L.
- In October 2026 an owner who compared VSF and Rich watches wrote that Rich "claim to use (904L)"; a commenter answered that the sharpness of a bracelet has nothing to do with that claim.
