Most head-to-head factory comparisons pit two builders against each other on the same watch. This one is different, and the difference is the answer.
VSF Factory is an Omega specialist. Noob Factory is a Rolex specialist. They compete directly on exactly one model, the Cosmograph Daytona, and on that model it is not a close contest. For everything else, the question "VSF or Noob" is really the question "Omega or Rolex", and the factory follows from the watch.

Where VSF wins
Omega, completely. VSF built its reputation on the Seamaster Diver 300M and remains the benchmark for Omega reproductions. Noob does not compete here, because Noob does not build Omega. If your watch is a Seamaster, a Planet Ocean or a Speedmaster Professional, the comparison ends on this line.
The Co-Axial clone. VSF's cloned 8500 and 8800 calibres were the first to credibly reproduce Omega's signature escapement. That is a harder engineering problem than cloning a conventional lever escapement, and nothing in Noob's catalogue attempts anything comparable.
The Daytona. Both factories build the 116500LN, and this is where the comparison becomes direct. VSF uses a cloned Rolex 4130: 44 jewels, 72 hours of power reserve, 4 Hz. Noob drives its Daytona from an NH35 base with a chronograph module bolted on. Through a display case-back the two are not in the same category, and the chronograph feel differs under the finger as well.
A period-correct Moonwatch. VSF clones the manual-wind 1861 for the Speedmaster Professional. A hand-wound Moonwatch that is actually hand-wound is a detail collectors care about, and it has no Noob equivalent.
Case geometry. VSF's case work is rated alongside Clean Factory standards in the Daytona segment, which is the strongest peer group in the niche.
Where Noob wins
Rolex Submariner and Datejust. VSF does not build them. If you want a 40mm Submariner, Noob is a real option and VSF is not one at all. That said, within the Rolex lane Noob's competition is AR Factory and Clean Factory, and it loses both of those on hardware.
Entry price. Noob starts around $900 against VSF's $1,200. Across the full bands, Noob is the cheaper factory at every point.
Servicing cost and simplicity. This is Noob's most durable advantage and it is worth taking seriously. An NH35 is the most widely serviced automatic movement in the world. A cloned Co-Axial is the opposite: VSF's escapement clones are more service-intensive than conventional alternatives, and finding a watchmaker willing to open one is genuinely harder.
Parts availability. Fifteen years of Noob production left a deep aftermarket behind. Bracelets, inserts, crystals and clasps are easy to source.
The Daytona, model by model
The 116500LN is the only place these two factories genuinely collide, so it deserves the detail.

The beat rate line matters more than it looks. A genuine modern Rolex runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour, so its seconds hand sweeps at eight beats per second. VSF's cloned 4130 matches that. - Any Omega: VSF. Noob does not build them.
- A Panerai: VSF. Noob does not build them either.
- A Daytona: VSF, unless price is the only constraint.
- A 40mm Submariner or a Datejust: Noob is eligible, but read the AR Factory comparison before ordering.
- A modern 41mm Submariner or a GMT-Master II: neither. That is Clean Factory territory.
- Lowest possible price with local servicing: Noob.
- A Speedmaster Professional: VSF, for the manual-wind cloned 1861.
What neither of them settles
Both factories vary between batches, and Noob's variance is the wider of the two.
The factory sets the ceiling on what your watch can be. Your dealer decides whether you reach it, because the dealer chooses which unit to send, whether to inspect it first, and whether to photograph it for you before it ships.
