A replica Omega in 2026 comes from one of 11 factories listed across 25 Omega rows in the May 2026 r/RepTime "Who Makes the Best" guide. VSF is the best pick in 14 of those rows. No Omega row carries the top NWBIG mark. The guide covers five families: Seamaster, Planet Ocean, Speedmaster, De Ville and Constellation. The guide uses two marks: NWBIG ("Best of the best") and Super Rep ("Good but not entirely perfect"). The Omega section has no NWBIG pick. VSF carries the Super Rep mark in 13 rows and has no tier mark in one row (the Seamaster 300 with an Asian 2824).

The guide lists no Speedmaster Professional (Moonwatch) row. The Speedmaster rows in the guide use Asian 7750 or Asian Lemania base movements, not a clone of the genuine manual-wind Lemania 1861 calibre.
A May 2026 thread asked VSF to make a Speedmaster Professional; a commenter replied that no replica movement matches the genuine sub-dial layout and that the Asian 7750 has known flaws. In August 2026 ER factory released a new Speedmaster; a commenter who owned the genuine watch wrote that the replica was too thick.

The movements in Omega replicas
The genuine Seamaster Diver 300M (210.30.42.20.01.001). The official Omega product page states: calibre Omega 8800, self-winding, Co-Axial escapement, 55-hour power reserve, 42 mm steel case, 30 bar (300 metres) water resistance, certified Master Chronometer, approved by METAS, resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss.
The VSF 8800-type clone. VSF released its integrated 8800-type Seamaster movement in May 2025. The dealer posting the release stated a power reserve of 54 hours and noted that the diameter (26.5 mm) and thickness (about 4.65 mm) match the genuine movement. In October 2025 a commenter in a watch service community wrote that the VSF escapement "is not coaxial AFAIK". A second commenter in the same thread wrote that the movement is "very similar to 2892" and uses many 2892 parts. In September 2026 an owner who compared QC photos noted that the VSF movement does not have a free-sprung balance and has a visible regulator arm. Spare parts for this movement are hard to find.
ORF movement levels. Earlier, ORF used a decorated Asian 2824-type base. By mid-2026 a commenter described three ORF levels: a decorated ETA 2824 base, the OR8806, and a new free-sprung version (OR8800-FS). The author of a July 15, 2026 thread wrote that ORF "has now upgraded it to a free-sprung version". In September 2026 these free-sprung Seamasters went on sale with little dealer notice. A commenter in an ORF vs VSF comparison thread written the same month wrote that the ORF free-sprung movement is "too new to tell its reliability".
Lower-tier base movements. The Speedmaster rows use Asian 7750 (Racing and Speedmaster 57) or Asian Lemania (Dark Side of the Moon and Snoopy) base movements. The Seamaster rows with an Asian 2824 use a decorated version of that movement.
What changed in 2025 and 2026
- May 2025: VSF released a new 8800-type Seamaster movement, described by the posting dealer as an integrated movement with a diameter and thickness that match the genuine calibre.
- July 2026: ORF released a free-sprung 8800 Seamaster described as its most important upgrade.
- August 2026: ER factory released a new Speedmaster; a commenter who owned the genuine watch wrote that it was too thick and "still far away from being good".
- September 2026: ORF free-sprung Seamasters went on sale with minimal public notice from dealers.
